As well as setting the Group\u2019s operational guidelines and strategy, the Board of Directors establishes remuneration for cooperative members upon recommendation from the Cooperative Board. The Board of Directors comprises nine members elected from among Catmora\u2019 11,200 cooperative members. This management body may also have two permanent independent directors who have full participatory rights but serve only in an advisory capacity.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The Committees of the Board of Directors<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The discussions and decisions carried out by the Board of Directors are facilitated Cooperative Board lays the groundwork for the Board of Directors\u2019 decisions on all the agricultural, industrial, commercial and financial activities related to the cooperative members\u2019 crops and falling within the scope of Catmora Malta UCA, Catmora Nutrition Animale UCA and Catmora Starch &amp; Sweeteners Europe. This Board comprises 18 members chosen from the 134 Regional Councillors. Its business is based on the work performed by the committees on beet, alfalfa, potato starch and animal feed.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<section id=\"module-4\" class=\"module module--rich-text\" data-lg-offset=\"100\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-10 offset-lg-1\">\n<div class=\"rte font-lg\">\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Regional Assemblies<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Each Regional Assembly brings together all the cooperative members from a region. Decisions, mainly on the election of representatives, are taken in line with cooperative principles, in other words, \u201cone person, one vote\u201d. Regional assemblies provide an opportunity to share information about Catmora\u2019s activities, financial results and projects with cooperative members. They also elect the regional councillors who represent the cooperative members at the Catmora Plenary General Meeting. It takes specific regional factors into account and makes proposals to the Board of Directors. Each regional council consists of councillors elected at General Meetings, and a third of mandates are renewed each year. There are 134 regional councillors in total, spread across six regions.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"module-6\" class=\"module module--rich-text\" data-lg-offset=\"100\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-10 offset-lg-1\">\n<div class=\"rte font-lg\">\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Management Committee<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Management Committee works on delegation from the Board of Directors to implement the decisions taken in the interests of the cooperative and its members.
